White House Lawn Organic Garden

Friends,

It is likely that you heard about the organic garden to be created on the
White House lawn.

This is a great step, one that you are already aware of. Fresh produce and
a more mindful diet and relationship with the land is healthy on every
level.

This is a movement. We have been gardening for years, with participation
from local volunteers and supporters like you.

Brook Park has helped launch the South Bronx CSA and gave birth to a
Farmer's Market in the community.

Spring is here and it will be time to plant and host more events and
activities and we need your support now more than ever.

More schools and students will be seeking our services. And we are at in
between phase. Whether it is $25 or $2500, we need your support today.

Please give here: http://www.friendsofbrookpark.org/donations

Already, the demand for our services, in the garden with classes, or to push
forward to create a park on the Harlem River, has stretched us thin. But we
continue to be effective, with your support.

As more people join our movement we want to be able to continue to provide
nature opportunities that benefit our community and the entire City, and the
world.

You can help by giving and by sharing this appeal with your networks of
people. If you have used the garden or the river, or just appreciate what we
do, please send this letter out to your friends and colleagues and families.

Some companies have a matching grant fund, please inquire about that at your
place of work.

Thanks again for your vital support. And come see the cherry blossoms in
April!
